Operations Controller

Job Purpose:
Manages daily transport operations and ensures that deliveries are executed efficiently and according to schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and dispatch loads based on customer orders and fleet availability.
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor fleet performance and address operational issues.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm deliveries and resolve service issues.
  • Track delivery progress and update relevant systems.
  • Maintain operational records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Matric; logistics or transport management qualification preferred.
  • 3+ years in a transport/logistics operations role.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Computer literate (MS Office and logistics software).
